Consumer Lending Loan Officer

Description:Full-time hours scheduled anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Saturdays are on a rotational basis.

Originate consumer loans via different channels such as the CUDL Platform, the SAIL platform, the Direct Branch and/or Website network, Rate Genius and other marketing programs. Responsible for reviewing credit reports/scores, advance parameters and loan structures to determine loan worthiness of an applicant. Notify appropriate party of loan decision and disbursement of funds. Knowledge and experience in all facets of Consumer Lending desired.
Duties:• Evaluate loan applications and render credit decisions within credit policies, procedures and Fair Lending guidelines while exercising good analytical judgment. Communicate adverse decisions to clients and members while maintaining strong business rapport and negotiate decision change requests as warranted.
• Manage workflows to enable excellent servicing levels, responsiveness and accessibility for Direct and Indirect customers/members
• Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with clients and work with Sales Officers to grow market share in assigned portfolio
• Manage auto dealer relationships, in tandem with Sales Officers to contribute to the market’s profitability level through volume generation and efficiency management.

Qualifications:• Three years similar credit union management and lending experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Office.
• Must be able to travel independently and operate all types of general office equipment including a PC.
• Related college degree preferred or work experience in lieu of degree.
